The stars of social video were brought to the big screen last night at The First-Ever Unruly Social Video Film Festival.
Hundreds flocked to the Rich Mix cinema in Shoreditch yesterday to watch such YouTube favourites as Nyan Cat, Fenton the Dog, and Chuck Testa loom large on the silver screen.
Part of Social Media Week and organised in conjunction with our friends at Upload Cinema, the event - the first of its kind to be screened in London - showcased the top 20 social videos of 2011, as voted for by an editorial panel which included Unruly's own Head of Content, David Waterhouse.
Attendees were treated to the full cinematic experience, as they feasted on popcorn, soft drinks and such viral treats as Dog Tease and Tablecloth Trick Fail.
They were also asked to vote for their favourites during the night, with Talking Twin Babies scooping the audience vote on the night.
To do this, audience members were invited to use their mobiles - not something you are encouraged to do in your local multiplex.
As you can see from the results, even the novelty of an 18m wide Nyan Cat on the big screen was not enough to save everyone's least favourite rainbow-farting, Pop-Tart kitty from the ignominy of finishing bottom of the pile.
